Huzzah, huzzah.


As if a week's ending in teaching happiness weren't enough, today I learned that I placed in the local environmental center's annual photography competition. It's nothing like the prizes my brother has won for his work, but it's welcome and gratifying validation nonetheless.

No, no--it was one that I did for the photography class a couple of years ago--a real film photo!

Well, I could take its picture and post the picture to the blog--but not until I get the picture back. Right now, it's still in the display at the environmental center.

If I had a negative scanner, I could scan in the negative and post it that way, but I don't. Alas!

Perhaps not surprisingly, it's a silhouette shot of grass. It's not unlike an image you've seen many times before here, but it's more subtle.
