About Me
- Name: Dr. S
- Location: Gambier, Ohio, United States
Annie Dillard could have been writing about me when she said (of herself), "I like the slants of light; I'm a collector." Or Willem de Kooning: "I'm like a slipping glimpser." And don't forget Brenda Ueland: "I learned that you should feel when writing, not like Lord Byron on a mountain top, but like a child stringing beads in kindergarten--happy, absorbed and quietly putting one bead on after another." But the Beastie Boys might have said it best: "When it comes to panache, I can't be beat." There's a reason I wear a ring that says Badass.

Hey! Congratulations! Which photos?
Your brother is a pretty good teacher, too, you know. :)
Congratulations!!!
Congratulations! Is the photo you posted the one in question?
No, no--it was one that I did for the photography class a couple of years ago--a real film photo!
Any way you can post the Prize-Winning photo here? :)
Well, I could take its picture and post the picture to the blog--but not until I get the picture back. Right now, it's still in the display at the environmental center.
If I had a negative scanner, I could scan in the negative and post it that way, but I don't. Alas!
Perhaps not surprisingly, it's a silhouette shot of grass. It's not unlike an image you've seen many times before here, but it's more subtle.
