About Me
- Name: Dr. S
- Location: Gambier, Ohio, United States
Annie Dillard could have been writing about me when she said (of herself), "I like the slants of light; I'm a collector." Or Willem de Kooning: "I'm like a slipping glimpser." And don't forget Brenda Ueland: "I learned that you should feel when writing, not like Lord Byron on a mountain top, but like a child stringing beads in kindergarten--happy, absorbed and quietly putting one bead on after another." But the Beastie Boys might have said it best: "When it comes to panache, I can't be beat." There's a reason I wear a ring that says Badass.

I wish I were there instead of the dragon, but he will regale me with his exploits when he returns. We missed you at Hunan a few nights ago, but at least you and the dragon were present as a topic in the conversation.
Hooray for the dragon!
Incidentally, was the dragon dragon-napped or was he sent to visit you?
He was in fact sent to visit. We all respect the Space of the Dragon: his bearer had also never touched him (or even approached him) before she was asked to carry him here. Imagine her surprise when someone made contact with precisely the part of her bag where he was riding, only to find that he makes a loud squeaking sound.
