About Me
- Name: Dr. S
- Location: Gambier, Ohio, United States
Annie Dillard could have been writing about me when she said (of herself), "I like the slants of light; I'm a collector." Or Willem de Kooning: "I'm like a slipping glimpser." And don't forget Brenda Ueland: "I learned that you should feel when writing, not like Lord Byron on a mountain top, but like a child stringing beads in kindergarten--happy, absorbed and quietly putting one bead on after another." But the Beastie Boys might have said it best: "When it comes to panache, I can't be beat." There's a reason I wear a ring that says Badass.
Back
- Sounds like a personal problem to me.
- Her vagrant mind must be reduced to order.
- Drive-by shootings.
- Some falling, some rising.
- At the risk of belaboring a point:
- The fragility of growth.
- For now, flowers are enough.
- Six is the friendliest number that you'll ever know.
- The point of it all.
- Then there is a loneliness that roams.

Home stretch! Fortitude!
oh god, then the grading! yaaaaaaaaargh!
Last semester I taught strategic budgeting. Most of the answers to the final and all the homework were numbers, that was GREAT!
And thank you for your spring...you are still ahead of us, although the shops are all carrying lilacs, I have yet to see any, but I bet you have them! More dragon photos! (please?)
Honestly, so far this week I have not been on foot, going past the dragon's house; I've been zipping past in my car, figuring out where to leave it on campus so that it will be nearest where my day will end ten hours later or something. But today is lovely and not rainy and I will be walking. So, perhaps you will get your wish! I love that people are invested in the dragon.
iebmpk!
Alas! The dragon has gone missing, again! We can just wait and see if he returns.
awltk...
Ooo! Back, and then some!
