The dragon welcomes you to spring.
In case you're confused, you can visit an earlier manifestation of the dragon, who lives down the street from me.
Once upon a time, this blog was going to be all about my pet bird, when I got one. But I never did get that bird. So, now this blog is about the beautiful, curious things that keep me in a near-constant state of happy distraction. Ironically, many people find these writings when they wonder what "peristerophobia" means. It's a fear of pigeons. I've made a bird blog after all.

Yes, they will be daffodils. I will take another Monday picture of him when they bloom. With any luck, it will be on the Monday when I'll just have come back from a long trip out of town and will be crazy-busy once again. What's funny to me is to look back at the January picture and see how barren his little stone enclosure is. A friend has suggested that I should photograph the dragon at each major turn of the year; I know I won't be able to wait until the solstice for the next image, though.
I do wish I'd gotten a picture of him in the snow, back in the winter. Of course, with the storm that's on its way in right now, I will get my wish later on today, I'd bet. And dragon + snow + daffodils? Hott.
